Edited the original image down slightly and added a hint of black around the edges to make it appear more darker and more creepier. Based on "cinematic technique" ad Francesca Woodman's work. Me and my Mum went down to an abandoned plot of land a little way down from my house. This image is about the way in which the view looks up and sees the people who they stigmatize.
I think it can also be about how you see things, or don't quite see things out of the corner of your eye. Its how our mind can sometimes get the best of us and play games on what we see to be real or created. The darkened image works well for me as I feel I'm looking through a fog, a mind, a dream to see it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was what I was trying to get across, I thought I added more of a description to my images earlier. By having the scenes outside I wanted to look at putting feelings into a physical representation. The look at how we sometimes put these people into abandoned settings, may it be by the way in which we project our feelings on to people makes them feel rejected, pitied, that kind of viewpoint as well.
